Queen Anne Park (now Finch Arboretum)
73.6 acres
Any city should prize and preserve its great landscape features, inasmuch as they give it individuality.
Olmsted Brothers Landscape Architects, Report to Board of Commissioners, 1908
Olmsted wrote that one of the most attractive features of this park was its grassy field, which would be perfect for lawn games and a baseball field. The report also suggested the ravine be overgrown with vines, ferns and evergreen shrubbery to create a shady, pleasant area, and advised against creating drives in such a small park. Today the park area is home to Finch Arboretum.
