Kenneth & Edna Brooks House
The Brooks home demonstrates Spokane architect Kenneth Brooks’ mastery of the modern style developed by Mies van der Rohe, which stresses minimalism and utility. Reflecting Miesian concepts and characteristics through use of glass and steel, the Brooks House was built for efficiency, demonstrates a high degree of architectural detail, and is a unique expression of modernism in a residential space in Spokane.
